Applications
Film III Ink System is a flexo-gravure ink system designed to provide adhesion on many polyolefin fims, vinyls and top coat foils. The excellent resistance properties and durability of Film III inks enable printers to eliminate the need of protective OPV's. Film III inks exhibit a high gloss and fast dry rate making Film III a “workhorse” ink system suitable for numerous applications on films, foils, even papers. Film III is shipped at a viscosity of a pH of 9.0-9.3.
Film III inks can be crosslinked od “catalyzed” with 3-5% of EC-1322, Aqueous Special Catalyst, to enhance the ink's resistance to heat, soaps, detergents and other alkali cleaners. Film III inks are designed to be run on press at full strength and reduced as needed with EC.1551, Film pH Adjuster. If dry rate is too fast, additions of propylene glycol can be used to retard de drying of the ink.
